I make soap out of used cooking oil diverted from local restaurants. I ask the restaurant if they’d be down with that. If they say yes, I collect the oil. I take it home, strain and clean it. I then use it to make soap, adding lye, distilled water and sometimes essential oils and natural colorants. A few iterations over the years but always trash soap.
